Hotter Sand, Cooler Spikes: BeachUp's 2023 Journey So Far

Hey there, fellow beach enthusiasts and sand-between-your-toes aficionados! Can you believe we're already halfway through 2023? It's been an interesting season for all of us at BeachUp. While we (unfortunately) usually don't share too much information, we're usually still constantly working on improving the experience for all our users. Our goal is to create a community to connect and find people to play beach volleyball, wherever in the world you are. And we're not quite there yet. But 2023 has been exciting so far, and we'll have some additional very nice updates for you coming soon.

April Vibes: A Game-Changing Update Drops

Yep, it was April, and we decided to kick off the beach season with a bang – a BeachUp bang, to be precise. We rolled out the red, sandy carpet for our massive 2023 update, and let me tell you, it was a doozy.

Ever tried to organize a game of beach volleyball and ended up tangled in a net of confusion? We've been there too, and that's why we're thrilled to introduce an update that makes creating games as easy as lounging on a beach chair. With just a few taps, you can now set up matches faster than it takes to build a sandcastle. Time saved? Check.

Community Connection: Bringing the "We" to Beach volley

We want you to connect and meet nice people. That's why we introduced Communities and Groups in beta mode! Now, whether you're a solo spike artist or a group-dive fanatic, you can create local groups that share your love for sandy showdowns. This is just the beginning. Expect much more comfort in future updates.

Say hi with DMs

We know that setting up games is just the beginning of the beach volley adventure. Sometimes you gotta message someone directly to coordinate your game time. With private messaging, you can now chat one-on-one with your BeachUp buddies, swapping strategies, smack talk, or even planning that post-game smoothie rendezvous.

So, what's on the horizon for the rest of 2023, you ask? Well, let's just say we're cooking up some seriously exciting features that will make your beach volley experience even more awesome. We've got some big improvements planned for the community feature, got some nice quality-of-life improvements and are constantly evaluating how we can make match-making even simpler and more efficient.
